Description

Collection of alchemical tracts: in German. On pp. 1, 24, 25 of the first work there are faint pencil-drawings of alchemical apparatus, etc. The last two works are written in a different, but contemporary, script. Wagnereck is said to have possessed the 'Stone': he died in 1683 (cf. Kopp. 'Die Alchemie'. Vol. I, p. 191).

1 volume 2 ll. (first bl.). + 28 pp. + 1 bl. l. + 88 pp. + 15 ll. (last 7 bl.). + 7 ll. 4to. 20 × 15 1/2 cm. Original boards, worn. Damp-stained throughout, especially at the end.
