Biographical note

The Joint Action Committee (JAC) of the Family Planning Association (FPA) was launched at a meeting arranged by the Hon Charles Morrison MP at the House of Commons in July 1983. The JAC aimed to increase the focus on the well-being of families in the provision of NHS family planning services, and to include family planning as a major factor in family policy.
