Comprises papers relating the randomised, double blind, multicentre clinical study C0168T09, "Placebo Controlled Phase II Study of Chimeric Anti-TNF in Patients with Rheumatoid Arthritis."

The study was sponsored by Centocor and led by the Kennedy Institute for Rheumatology, with investigators Ravinder Maini and Marc Feldmann. The study aimed to demonstrate a proof of principle concerning the role of TNF in the joint inflammatory process of patients with rheumatoid arthritis. Seventy-two patients were involved in the study which lasted eight weeks from the first infusion.
