Biographical note
The ICRP functioned under the auspices of the International Congress of Radiology. The Commission was first set up in 1928 to make recommendations on radiation safety standards. It was chaired by Ernest Rock Carling and Mayneord was a member. The MRC PIRC reported to ICR.
