Manuscript deposition signed by William Goad, Surgeon, of Langley, Buckinghamshire, recording his examination of Francis Spratly, a butcher, who had been assaulted by one Richard Clements. Partial transcript: "I found [Spratly] very much inwardly bruised and thereof much complained. And though I imediatly let him blead and used oyntment outwardly yet his paines increased and the next day I found him also very full of paine, restless, and not able to turne himselfe in his bed. And though there is noe outward appearance of any hurt yet I bileeve him dangerously bruised". Dated 21 March 1671 1 page small 4to integral blank.
