Various items of business correspondence, including copy letters by Burroughs, manuscript letters in draft (often verso the copy letters), some notes, orders, and some letters received.

Includes:

13 December, 1893. Letter informing Burroughs he has been elected Fellow of the Imperial Institute, London.

14 December, 1893. Copy letter (top portion only) from Burroughs Wellcome & Co to Burroughs concerning a visit from Dr Grattan Guinness "who called with a view to interesting you in his Congo visit". Draft reply verso.

20 December, 1893. Telegram, from Bournemouth, Burroughs to Burroughs Wellcome & Co: "Send bundle Georges land question Dixon Dartford meeting this evening".

21 December, 1893. From Bournemouth, a note by Burroughs: "When [the] balance sheet is complete I shall be much interested in learning the amount of the bonus to be divided among employees.... By their thoughtful care in avoiding unnecessary expenses...they deserve to have a special present in the shape of a percentage of nett profits which have been made with their friendly & hearty co-operation."
