About this work

Description

Correspondence and nominations for the Paton lecture, in honour of Professor Sir William Paton (1917-1993).

The Paton lecture is selected by the History and Archives Committee, with assistance from the Editorial Board of Experimental Physiology. It is not a prize lecture but expenses are covered. A separate Paton Prize was established in 1994 to encourage the study of the history of the major ideas and concepts that have shaped modern physiology, as well as the scientists who conduct the work. The Prize takes the form of a bursary to support such studies, with funding of up to £1000 to cover travel and research expenses.
