    Vv APUE. A.D. 1759.—N° 742. 2 Wessels Medicinal Compound. Tinctura Embryonum is composed and prepared of the several particulars and in manner following (that is to say):— * Recipe: Coralliorum rubrorum uncias duas lapidishsemathit., is uncias quatuor terrae japonicse, uncias duas Caryophillorum, uncis moschatae Zingiberis, aha unciam unam cinnamoni acuti, unciam femissem radicis galangae Zedoariae, 5 ana unciam unam seminis anisi carui, ana unciam unam ligni santali rubri, unciam unam sacchari albi libram dimidiam. florum lavendulae, pugillos duos herbae menthse, salvise, aha manipulos duos, salis tartari unciam dimidiam. Incisa et contusa infunde in spiritus vini, rectificati conqus duobus per octo dies, digere et cola per chartam bibulam tunc destilletur secundum artem; 10 adde tinctura} radicis Braziliensis et tinctura} corticis Peruriam, ana unciam unam stent tunc per mensem et iterum destilletur cui postea; addo spiritus salis aromatici uncias octo, et servetur ad usum. In witness whereof, I have hereunto set my hand and seal, the Twenty-third day of October, in the year of our Lord God One 15 thousand seven hundred fifty-nine. HART WESSELS. Signed and sealed in the presence of us, J. Way. James Pyke. 20 AND BE IT RE BRED, that the Twenty-fifth day of October, in the year above written, the aforesaid Hart Wessels came before our said Lord the King in His Chancery, and acknowledged the Invention aforesaid, and all and every thing therein contained and specified, in form above written. And also the Invention aforesaid was stampt according to the tenor of the 25 Statute made in the sixth year of the reign of the late King and Queen William and Mary of England, and so forth.
