Photograph of a framed oil painting depicting an écorché statuette based on a model designed by Ludovico Cigoli. A caption attached to the frame titles the work 'An Anatomist' and attributes the work to the Italian School, 17th century, likely for display in the Wellcome Historical Medical Museum. The painting was acquired from Goncelli & Figlio in Florence by Captain Johnston Saint in 1930, and accessioned by the Wellcome Historical Medical Museum on 20th June 1930 (CC 5216) and again on 9th December 1938 (P2894/1938) .
