The original arrangement of the correspondence of the Hospital with the Board had been preserved, together with original summaries of the subjects of the correspondence.

Under the Mental Deficiency Act of 1913 (3 & 4 Geo. V, c.28), the Lunacy Commission was merged into a newly created Board of Control, responsible for supervising the new Mental Deficiency Service.
