Description
In the era of communication by telegram and letter, Coopers developed a system of codes that could be used for inter-office messages, so that their contents was protected in case of interception by rivals. Such systems were in use by many international business at this time.
Included here are:
Coopers 'Private Code', 4th edition: 75pp of tables of code words for telegrams similar. Two copies, each with different annotations. (c 1925)

Papers from envelopes: Supplements to Private Code Books (1920 - c 1930) [papers with individual notes about new or amended codes]
