About this work

Description

This famous textbook, first published in 1929 with W.W.C. Topley and later continued with A.A. Miles, achieved such reputation and success that by 1984 it had reached its seventh edition. It was universally known as 'Topley & Wilson' Although there is a little material relating to earlier editions, especially royalty statements, most of the surviving documentation relates to the 6th and 7th editions of 1975 and 1983-84, respectively. There is also material relating to an 8th edition (unpublished at the time of his death) on which Wilson was serving as consultant editor and contributor on diphtheria and plague
