Notes

This work is untitled: the title has been supplied by the cataloguer.
The following description was provided by James Gardiner: "A high quality photographic postcard produced in Germany in the 1920s. The sexually liberal atmosphere of Weimar Germany resulted in an explosion of gay life and culture in Berlin; as has been extensively documented, particularly in the novels of Christopher Isherwood. [This postcard] is of a type that would have been readily available in bookshops, alongside such ground-breaking gay magazines as 'Die Insel'."
