Photograph of an illustration from Martin, Albert, Deutsches Badewesen in vergangenen Tagen : nebst einem Beitrage zur Geschichte der Deutschen Wasserheilkunde, Jena: Eugen Diederichs, 1906, after a drawing. The illustration depicts an early 15th century bath house with steam heating. Another photograph of this image was accessioned by the Wellcome Historical Medical Museum on 30th August 1935 (PHO 4230).
