Papers relating to cosmetic surgery, mainly media enquiries asking about people who had written to the Patients Association about their cosmetic surgery experiences (wanting 'victims' stories), enquiries from potential patients about what to expect and recommendations of surgeons (which the Association was not able to provide), disfigurement and cosmetic camouflage, injury caused by plastic surgeons, costs of cosmetic surgery, television programmes and articles investigating the increase in access to plastic or cosmetic surgery, monitoring of clinics, 'cowboy' clinics and rogue surgeons, ethical considerations, surgery carried out at Sherwood Court, patient expectations in surgery, advertising by clinics, use of lasers in cosmetic surgery. Also includes a little material on cosmetics safety.

Includes press cuttings, magazine articles, correspondence, memos and notes of conversations with media and journalists, brochures of clinics.
