Description

Contains also some notes and cuttings on splenic anaemia in children (including syphilitic cases) ('anaemia pseudo-leucaemia infantum' of Jaksch) and uncertain cases of splenic enlargement (including some type Gaucher in children and adults (regarding which however see:- my volume on 'The Haemolytic Spleen and Haemolytic Splenomegaly' which includes papers on family splenomegaly (splenicanaemia). For several notes and cuttings regarding cases of apparently 'Primary splenomegaly' i in children and 'Family Splenomegaly' (type Gaucher etc) see my volumes on (1) 'Simple Jaundice and Family cirrhosis' and (2) Biliary cirrhosis'. This volume contains also some notes and cuttings regarding the operation of splenectomy and its results (for which however see also my German Hospital notes of William Vargo 1903 and my volume on 'Congenital and Developmental Splenomegalies and obscure forms of splenic enlargement'. Notes regarding 'biopsy' of the spleen and of the bone-marrow (G A Gibson, etc) and regarding transplantation of bone-marrow.
