About this work

Description

Medicina electa secundum mechanicae leges elaborata [Pars prima: Physiologia, De humana generatione] (22 ll.). De febribus. (ll. 25-78). Carboni (Pietro). Tractatus medico-chirurgicus (de compositione medicamentorum) (ll. 81-129). Sectio III [Physiologiae] De humoribus (ll. 131-154). Tractatus medicus de venenis. (ll. 159-212). Lecture notes taken down by Francesco Petrucelli at Naples. At the end of the first treatise a note states it was finished on 13th July 'subdisciplina Domini Doctoris fisici D. Antonii Papae'. The year was probably 1727, as this was a preliminary lecture, and the lectures 'De humoribus' were a part of the same course, and were finished on 25th August 1727. The lectures on Pharmacy are stated to have been concluded on 29 February 1728 'sub disciplina D.D. Phisici Petri Carboni'. The last 7 leaves of the 'De venenis' are by a different hand. On the last of the 7 preliminary leaves is a note of the death at Moliterno, on 23 April 1772 of Signora P. Prazia Terrazzano. Produced in Naples.
