Biographical note
IME Publications Ltd was a private limited company (incorporated April 1985) set up by the IME to publish the Journal of Medical Ethics and the IME Bulletin. It was running at a loss and was wound up in 1989. At this time the BMJ bought a 50% share in the journal, with 50% remaining the property of the IME. The Bulletin title was transferred to Richard Nicholson and continued publication as the Bulletin of Medical Ethics (it ceased publication in 2006).
