Photograph of an illustration from the 13th century manuscript, Apollodorus de Herbis, depicting a physician prescribing herbal remedies to a group of men with text in Farsi in top right hand corner and underneath. The original manuscript is held by the Austrian National Library, Vienna. Another photograph of this image was accessioned by the Wellcome Historical Medical Museum on 13th January 1936 (PHO 6928).
