Description

The title of the original pamphlet is Fulmine Contro de' Medici putatitii Rationali, 271 pp. This work is preceded by a translation of the title-page of the whole collection (fo. 140) and two letters dedicatory: the first is addressed to "the most illustrious, and right honourable Lord, My Lord Francisco Drago," signed PIETRO PAOLO TOZZI, (the publisher), and dated Padua, 1 November 1626 (fo. 141-142); the second is "To his Highnesse, Vincenzo Gonsaga, Duke of Mantua," from the author, dated Verona, 17 March, 1592 (fo. 143-4). The work is cast in the form of a dialogue between three speakers, Mazilio, Zephyriele and Philologo.
