Biographical note

It is thought that Dr J. Rutherford or Dr C. C. Easterbrook retained the works by John Gilmour, DGH1/7/3/2/1-7 and those by an unidentified artist-patient, DGH1/7/3/2/20 as these were found in and removed from an envelope attached to the back cover of C. R. I. Scrapbook, DGH1/6/17/1. DGH1/7/3/2/17 was found with the early patient artwork collected by Dr W. A. F. Browne, DGH1/7/3/1 and as a result was thought to be a much earlier work. The provenance of the other works is not clear.
