Description

An interview with Taslim Khan about her family and the experience of raising her eighteen-year-old son Ifti, who has beta thlassaemia major. She talks about her experience helping Ifti manage his condition, and of being tested for the condition during her subsequent pregnancy and the decisions they made as a result. The interview is conducted by Pippa Gillham, haemoglobinopathy genetic counsellor for the Sickle Cell and Thalassaemia Service at the Royal Berkshire Hospital, Reading.
