File consists of an abstract of Vane's typed thesis submitted for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy. The thesis abstract is titled, "New Methods for Measuring Blood Flow and its Relation to Gastric Secretion". Vane types his name, "J.R. Vane, St Catherine's Society". The Oxford thesis is undated but it is known that the D.Phil. was awarded in 1953 which would have been the year of completion of the thesis.
