Biographical note

Project Summary:The emerging field of knowledge mapping or argument visualisation offers great potential for public engagement. Short blocks of text, images, colour and symbols can be combined to create maps or posters with visual appeal. The aim of this project is to start to realise that potential. Building on existing initiatives a series of prototype paper maps will be created and tested, on two biomedical topics, transhumanism and animal testing. A range of prototypes will be whittled down to one 'winner' through an intensive process of testing and review with a variety of audiences.
