Description

Set up by the Grand Council and Executive Committee. This was called the Intelligence and Publication Committee between Mar and Jun 1924. It held a preliminary meeting and 3 regular meetings. From Oct 1924 it became known as the Intelligence Committee. Its terms of reference were to 'collect, collate and distribute all information concerning the activities of research workers and the incidence of cancer in different parts of the world and to obtain and distribute any scientific information which the committee may deem of use to advance cancer research. To undertake the responsibility of all statements to the press and all propaganda and publicity in connection with the Appeal for Funds and to delegate such duties and on such conditions to a sub-committee as it thinks fit'.
