A woodblock printed Japanese translation by Kobayashi Yoshinao (1844-1905) of 'A compend of materia medica and therapeutics, for the use of students' (Philadelphia: Lippincott, 1869) by John Campbell Riley (1828-1879), and pubished in Tokyo by Shimamura Risuke in 1875.
