Correspondence from and received by W.H.Brock in the course of his thesis research into William Prout (1785-1850), mainly with archives and libraries, including the Wellcome Historical Medical Library, but also with relatives, and later publishers re. the book 'From Protyle to Proton. William Prout and the Nature of Matter, 1785–1985' and correspondence re. a talk at The Prout Club dinner at the University of Birmingham in 1997. Includes approx. 125 letters with related publications, faxes, and ephemera, arranged in rough chronological order.
