Biographical note

Project Summary:This project is to be considered as Research and Development and a pilot for the first phase of a three-year project that will culminate in an element of a performance in 2012 at Sadler's Wells (In discussion). Russell Maliphant, choreographer and associate artist at Sadler's Wells, cognitive psychologist Dr Peter Lovatt, composer Ezio Bosso and violinist Oscar Bohorquez will all work collaboratively with Professor Marina Wallace to research, write up and develop a performative dance piece that experiments with emotional affects and audience relationships to dance spectacle. Move Me On will look at relationships between the intention, meanings and emotions evoked by movements that are to be devised by choreographer, Russell Maliphant and Professor Marina Wallace It is our aim that bio-affective feedback, or simply put, the emotions stirred in both performers and audiences will be part of the developmental research process. This initial project in itself, will result in a series of public work-in-progress talks at the Dana Centre (Science Museum, London) hosted by Elaine Snell of the European Dana Alliance for the Brain and other arts venues mentioned below (to be confirmed) once funding is in place.
