Purchased from Stevens, London, September 1930 (acc.56360 and 56575), late September / early October 1930 (acc.75564) and March 1931 (acc.68135), and from Glendining, London, August 1932 (acc.67698) and September 1932 (acc.67638); one letter found in a copy of Markham's Peruvian Bark, 1880, purchased at Stevens, August 1931 (acc.83960); provenance details not recorded in one case (acc.67430).
