Biographical note
"Inspirations and Illuminations" was an Arts for Health project at Ashford Hospital in Middlesex, which aimed to enhance the interiors of the new hospital, by selecting and commissioning works of art and craft. A brief was sent to students at Roehampton to respond creatively to the theme of "Inspirations and Illuminations"; as part of this theme, hospital wards were each named after English writers.
