About this work

Description

The Labour Abortion Rights Campaign (LARC) was set up in 1976 by members of the Steering Committee of NAC, as they thought it would be useful to have a Labour dedicated organisation. It sought to use activism within constituency parties to build support for abortion and it created contacts with parliamentary leadership. NAC and LARC were not the same organisation but they shared membership and would often work closely together on campaigns and held joint conferences.
