9. From his son John Miers Lettsom, "Johannes Minimus", regarding an appointment by "two Johns" (the other possibly J. Nicoll) to visit and "smoak a pipe with you" and mentioning Mr. Aubert and Mr. Wollaston, 1787.

9A. From Dr. Jonathan Stokes, Kidderminster, 1789, discussing agriculture and in particular the mangel-wurzel.

10. From Dr. Valentine Mott, New York, mentioning death of Dr. Miller and his editorship of the Medical Repository, describing an epidemic in New York of a "very malignant and fatal...peripneumony" and relating his appointment as Professor of Surgery at Columbia University, 1812.
