The reproduction was acquired by the Wellcome Historical Medical Museum and accessioned in 1938 (accession number PHO 10963). The original photograph came from an album of photographs by Charles Hose and Robert Shelford of places and people of Sarawak, Malaysia, held by the University of Cambridge Library (reference Y3035A).
