Description

Surgical artificial pneumothorax, extrapleural (therapeutic) pneumothorax and some other lug surgery (including 'oleothorax'). Also 'subphrenic pyopneumothorax' and subphrenic abscess. Also abscess of lung and fetid bronchitis and gangrene of lungs. Also whole subject of bronchiectasis (including diagnosis and pathology). Petit's so-called eventratio diaphragmatica (for comparison with pneumothorax). Partial thoracic stomach with congenitally short oesophagus. Diaphragmatic hernia, congenital and acquired, unilateral or bilateral. Petit's so-called eventratio diaphragmatica (congenital elevation of diaphragm). Diaphragmatic paralysis, especially therapeutic unilateral. Hernia of the apex of the lung (for comparison) and all kinds of lung hernia. Also the whole subject of cysts and 'cystic disease' of the lung and bronchi and brachea. Also 'spontaneous surgical emphysema'. Whole subject of intrathoracic surgery. Developmental malformation of lungs. 'Intrathoracic cysts of gastric type'.
