This volume was transferred to the Contemporary Medical Archives Centre in September 1997 from the Royal College of General Practitioners, which had received it in 1996 from Dr Jay-Gopal Chitnis, MB, ChB, MRCS, LRCP, FRGCP, M, DObst RCOG, of Birmingham.

Biographical note

A medical visiting diary was published annually by Burroughs Wellcome and Co.

The addresses of patients indicate that the doctor practised in the Marylebone or Paddington area of central London.
