About this work

Description

Two short videos produced by Gayan Samarasinghe, one of the curators of Journals of a Pandemic, for use in social media posts. The first shows a helicopter taking off in Victoria Park, London on 23rd May 2020. It was tweeted alongside a very short diary entry about the windy weather.

The second video shows an empty Victoria Park in London with a voiceover from the park's tannoy system informing people that the park is open for daily exercise but loitering or gathering is not permitted. People are also told to stay 2m apart. The video was made on 9th May 2020. The tannoy announcement would play hourly.
