Description

Information contained in these volumes comprise, patient name, number in the General Register, date of admission and date of discharge or death. There is one Index for Southern Counties Asylum, and two for Crichton Royal Institution. All the Indexes contain names of patients admitted at an earlier date and still alive when the volumes were created and so are not a record of every patient admitted between 1839 and 1944. Covering dates relate to the earliest and latest dates listed in each index.
