The district is purely Agricultural and immune from any sm.oke nuisances. The Officers are the Medical Officer of Health and Sanitary Inspector. No Nurses are employed by the Town Council. There have been no cases of sickness or invalidity which have been specially noteworthy in the borough during the 3'ear, neither have there been any conditions of occupations or environment which appeared to have had a prejudicial effect on health, and there is no evidence, statistical or otherwise, that unemployment has exercised an}' significant influence on the health or physique of children or adults. Laboratory, There are no Laboratory facilities in the borough. Ambulance. There is one Motor .‘\mbulance in the Borough which is supported bv voluntary subscriptions. Nursing in the Home is provided for by the Llandovery Nursing Association. Lodging Houses. There are now no Registered Houses. New Casual Wards at Tanybryn have been constructed at a heavy expenditure, and are now open and these will give sufficient accommodation for Casuals. House Refuse and Scavenging. Scavenging is done regularly by the Council workmen, and the streets are kept clean. People should however avoid dropping paper about the roads. House refuse is regularly cleared in the principal streets, and there is also a better clearance in the back Streets. The drains in Stone Street are much better since attention has been paid to them by the County Council bj' placing new Gullies there. Food and Drugs Act. There have been some inspections made, but everything was found to be normal. 1
