U ITJ'HEN the late Mr. Richard Stedman, of Godaiming, in the cotfnt$ ,H of Surry, proprietor of the above inestimable Medicines, first offered them to the Public, pecuniary considerations were the least which actuated him. ' In a very extensive, though private circle, he had for many years witness¬ ed the happy effects they produced ; and it was by the earnest solicitations of particular friends, and persons who had experienced their salutary power, as well by the full conviction he felt of the benefit he would thereby confer on Society, that he at length consented to brave every oppo¬ sition, and become the Preparer and V ender of these Medicines. For the accommodation of the Public, a Warehouse was opened for the sale of them by his Son, at No. 24, Crooked-lane, near Fish-street-hill ; but his Father’s decease, rendering his presence necessary to superintend the business in the country, he has relinquished the above concern ; and the proprietorship devolving to the Children of the deceased, they have appointed Mess. HOWARD and EVANS, 42, Long-Lane, West-Smith- held, their Wholesale Agents in London. The Proprietors beg leave to remark, that no rash or indiscriminate eulo- giums have ever been offered on these Medicines, nor have the columns of newspapers been crouded with arguments in support of their Virtues—their efficacy has been tried, and they can conscientiously assert, that in no fair trial, they have ever known them to fail. These Medicines were never offered as nostrums^ adapted for the cure ef every disorder incident to the human frame, but solely for the cure of the specific Disorders here enumerated ; and as they are destined for par¬ ticular not general purposes, if in those Disorders for which they are offered they have invariably succeeded, they must be calculated to produce the desired effect. N, B. The Solvent for the cure of the Stone and Gravel, is not Genuine, unless it is in moulded Bottles, with the Vvrords, Dr. Russell9s infallible Drops, prepared by R. Stedman; and none of the Pile Drops are Genuine, unless in Bottles of the same Description, with the Words, Pile Dr§pi, prepared only by R. Stedman, Godaiming ; and each Bottle is inclosed in a printed bill of Directions, signed by Rd. STEDMAN, One of the Proprietors. These Medicines are prepared and sold by R. STEDMAN, of God al Ming, in the County of Surrey, in Bottles at 3s. 6d. and 6s. 6d, each, Duty included.—Sold also by Mess.
