About this work

Description

A drawing by Psychiatric Patient 4 - "Pete" which shows a man fishing, and a policeman's head. "He was a clever boy. He had been to a psychologist to have tests done and the psychologist had obviously suggested or asked him to do some doodles. Then when he came to me he said, "Today we shall do some doodles". I did a sweeping continuous S-shaped line, in the centre of this drawing, he turned it into a fishing line, and added "fishing prohibited" and the policeman and the figures. It scared me" Rita Simon .
