Physical description

1 copy. Bound in Morocco leather with wallet to hold letters stamps, cards, etc. Endpapers gold base colour with green printed unicorns. Text block machine made paper, text printed in black, paper pre lined with blue and brown printing ink. The Diary has all three edges gilt. Embossed blind on spine '1914' and embossed unicorn on front There is a gold tape bookmark with an inch and centimeter tape printed on one side and ''PRICE LIST, PAGE XXIII AT END 'WELLCOME' BRAND CHEMICALS, PAGE XV AT END' printed in dark blue. The tape has an advert attached to it, in the form of a paper box of 'Tabloid' 'Malt Extract' on one side and 'Tabloid' Cod Liver Oil on the other.
