The Standing Committee on User Organisations (originally referred to as the Standing Committee on Ethics of Current Practice / Standing Committee on Research into Pregnancy, earlier, the Birth and New Developments in Reproductive Technology) was established to monitor research into pregnancy, childbirth and new developments in reproductive technologies. The Committee was made up of representatives from a number of user organisations and groups.
