About this work

Description

An unsigned undated preliminary consulta (a description of the original course of the illness), an undated respuesta signed J.M.H., and a second respuesta signed J.M. Bonanza and J.M.H. and dated 5 August 1819, on the case of D.a Maria Montes de Tagle. Produced in Mexico. The two responding physicians agree that the preliminary treatment was 'diametrically opposed' to what was required and concern themselves with the aetiology of the condition in constitutional debility, the resultant epilepsy and obstruction, and possible inflammation of the liver. They suggest a suitably nourishing diet with some medication.
