Material relating to Hart's work with Tom Garland during a trip to Newfoundland July-August 1945. Includes summary report Tuberculosis in Newfoundland (1946) and related correspondence from the Dominion's Office, Downing Street (1946). Also includes 11 b/w photographs featuring Tom Garland, nursing staff and patients at the Brookfield Cottage Hospital and local landscapes including views of St John's, Eastport, Red Bay in Labrador, Pool's Island, Homer's Island and Brookfield. This file also contains material relating to Hart's recollections of the trip (1995).
