Description

A set of typed notes, headed "What do we need to know about histones?" (11 sheets, with Crick's initials on the first sheet). The file contains the same text in draft (holograph, dated 16 October, 1971), with an alternative (rejected) heading of "All possible space groups for continuous helices, of one hand".

The file also contains other related notes (holograph), one beginning "We wish to describe all possible sheets of parallel DNA helices...." (dated 12 May, 1972), and another set (undated) headed "Parameters to define a sheet of helices".
