About this work
Description
The Radiation Panel was formed in 1989 to provide information on radiation to MCANW campaigns, other groups, media and the general public. Topics of interest to the Radiation Panel included the effects of fallout, nuclear energy, transportation of waste, nuclear accidents, radiation and cancer and test veterans. The panel was convened by David Sumner.
The group also campaigned for compensation for radiation victims for nuclear weapons test veterans and individuals living near nuclear facilities where higher rates of cancer have been detected.
