In a selfish world, the sacred relationship between doctor and patient is still a very special one. Henry  goes East is a 75-minute documentary about brain surgeon Henry Marsh, and about how he wrestles  with the dilemmas of that special relationship. Set in a clinic in Kiev we see him consult with a large  number of desperate patients and parents, agonise over who he can and can’t save, and then  operate in sub standard conditions on a dying child or adult. What is it really like to have to play  God?
