Photograph of a painting by Carl Frederik von Breda of William Withering (1741-1799) English physician, chemist and botanist. The painting is held by the National Museum, Stockholm, Sweden. The photograph was presented to the Wellcome Historical Medical Museum by Sir Henry Dale, Chairman of the Wellcome Trust Board of Trustees and was accessioned in 1949 (accession number PHO 13384)
