About this work

Description

File contains a notebook and on the spine of the notebook are the words, "Auricles 49-52". The notebook is made up of graph paper on one side of a double page which is sometimes used to plot experiment results and on the facing page is usually a table of test data and sometimes a written commentary about the experiment and the results. The first dated experiment, performed on a rabbit, is 23 December 1948 (despite the writing on the spine of the notebook), followed by a series of further experiments using a rabbit, and the last experiment in this series is dated 30 June 1949.

Then is then a time gap in the usage of the book, and the next experiment is dated 12 November 1951. This is followed by regular experiments up to 1 January 1952, then a final experiment on 29 August 1952.

Enclosed in the notebook is a handwritten letter, including diagrams, from W.A. Rushton and sent to "Dear Dawes" with a suggested solution to problems with an experiment.
