Description

Correspondence and papers relating to enquiries and contacts from journalists and media researchers about articles they are writing or television or radio programmes, or films they are making on various aspects of the NHS, medical conditions or patient care. Covers a wide variety of issues including phobias, organ donation, removal of tissue during post mortems, complaints procedures, traditional and non-traditional medicines, clinical trials on patients, dentists, family planning and birth control, health insurance, medical injury and medical accidents, medical records and insurance, anaesthesia, drugs standards and safety, generic drugs, womens health services, patient access of medical records, sterilisation without consent, effect of financial cuts on the NHS, private patients, euthanasia, etc.

Mainly memoranda and notes on questions received, some letters from national and local television and radio companies (e.g. Thames TV, BBC, Granada TV), journals, magazines, and national and local newspapers, newspaper and magazine articles.
